Ingredients

  • 1 box Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix
  • 1 can whole kernel corn drained
  • 1 can cream-style corn
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 175°C and spray your baking dish lightly with non-stick cooking spray today. Preparing your dish beforehand ensures your beautiful soufflé will release perfectly when it is finished baking tonight.

Combine the Corn

  • In your large mixing bowl, combine the whole kernel corn and the creamy style corn together. Add your sour cream and melted butter and whisking them into the corn until the mixture is very smooth.

Add the Mix

  • Slowly stir in your Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix until everything is just combined and no large lumps remain. Do not overmix the batter, as you want to keep it light and airy for the perfect texture.

Bake the Soufflé

  • Pour your batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a rubber spatula gently. Place it in the oven and bake for forty-five minutes until the top is golden and set.

Melt the Cheese

  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of your warm soufflé during the last five minutes. Let it melt completely until bubbly and golden, then remove from the oven and serve it warm tonight.

Notes

  • Let the soufflé rest for five minutes after baking to help the center firm up before serving.
  • You can add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the batter if you prefer a little spicy kick.
  • Fold in some chopped fresh jalapeños for a lovely, vibrant, and savory twist that pairs well with corn.
  • Serve it with a dollop of honey butter on top to enhance that natural, sweet corn flavor perfectly — or try pairing it with these bite-sized Southern cornbread bites glazed with honey butter for a double corn experience your guests will adore.
  • If you want a richer dish, try using a little extra melted butter in the base of the batter.
  • Always use full-fat sour cream to ensure your soufflé remains incredibly creamy, moist and delicious every single time.
