Ingredients

  • 1 cup tequila blanco or silver works best
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice about 4-5 limes
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur like Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup or agave nectar for natural sweetness
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup water to help blending
  • Salt for rimming glasses optional
  • Lime wedges for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt for rims

Instructions

Mix the Base Liquid

  • Combine tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, simple syrup, and water in a pitcher. Stir well until sugar dissolves. This takes 2 minutes. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. Pour into Ninja Creami pint, leaving space for ice.

Add Ice and Freeze

  • Add ice cubes to the pint until full. Secure the lid. Freeze upright for at least 4 hours or overnight. Freezing makes the perfect slushy texture. No blender mess here – the Ninja does it all.

Process in Ninja Creami

  • Remove pint from freezer. Let sit 5 minutes to soften slightly. Install in Ninja Creami. Use "Slushie" or "Sorbet" function. Run one cycle. If too icy, add a splash of water and respin.

Rim the Glasses

  • Pour salt onto a plate. Rub lime wedge on glass rims. Dip in salt. Twist for even coat. This adds fun crunch to your how to make Ninja Slushie Margarita process.

Serve It Up

  • Scoop slushie mix into rimmed glasses. Garnish with lime wedges. Serve right away for max frostiness. Enjoy the creamy and boozy bliss!

Notes

  • Use frozen lime juice cubes for quicker prep.
  • For a spicy kick, add 1-2 jalapeño slices to the base mix.
  • Make it virgin: Swap tequila and liqueur for sparkling water and extra lime.
  • Boost fruitiness with 1/2 cup frozen strawberries in the pint.
  • Don't overfill the pint – leave 1-inch headspace for expansion.
  • Respinner hack: If powdery, add 1 tbsp tequila and run again.
  • Batch it: Double ingredients for parties, freeze multiple pints.
