Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 tomatoes sliced
  • 1 lettuce head
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 3 large potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Burger sauce or mayo

Instructions

Prepare the Potatoes

  • Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into even strips for fries. Soak them in cold water for 15 minutes. This removes extra starch and makes them crispier when cooked.

Season the Fries

  • Drain the potatoes and dry them well. Toss them with olive oil, salt and paprika. Spread them on a baking tray in a single layer. This helps them cook evenly and become golden.

Bake the Fries

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C. Bake the fries for 25–30 minutes. Flip them halfway through. Cook until they are crispy outside and soft inside. Set aside when done.

Prepare the Burger Patties

  • In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce. Shape into equal patties. Keep them slightly thick so they stay juicy while cooking.

Cook the Burgers

  • Heat a pan or grill. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes on each side. Place cheese on top during the last minute. Let it melt nicely for rich flavor and creamy texture.

Assemble the Burgers

  • Toast the buns lightly. Add lettuce, tomato and onion. Place the cooked patty on top. Add burger sauce or mayo. Close the bun gently for a perfect burger.

Serve with Fries

  • Serve hot burgers with crispy baked fries. Add extra sauce on the side. Enjoy immediately while everything is warm and fresh.

Notes

  • Use 80/20 beef for juicy burgers
  • Add chili flakes for spicy flavor
  • Try sweet potato fries for variation
  • Grill burgers for smoky taste
  • Add pickles for extra crunch
  • Use whole wheat buns for a healthier option
