Ingredients
  

  • Unsalted butter – ½ cup melted
  • Brown sugar – 1 cup packed
  • White sugar – ¼ cup
  • Egg – 1 large
  • Vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon
  • All-purpose flour – 1 cup
  • Baking powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Salt – ¼ teaspoon
  • Chopped walnuts – ½ cup
  • Chocolate chips – ½ cup

Instructions
 

Prepare the Baking Pan

  • Line the pan with parchment paper. Lightly grease it. Set aside.

Mix Butter and Sugar

  • Combine melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Mix until smooth.

Add Egg and Vanilla

  • Crack in the egg. Add vanilla extract. Stir until creamy.

Combine Dry Ingredients

  • Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Add slowly to the wet mixture.

Add Nuts and Chocolate

  • Fold in walnuts and chocolate chips gently. Do not overmix.

Spread the Batter

  • Pour batter into the pan. Spread evenly with a spatula.

Bake the Bars

  • Bake at 175°C for 30 minutes. The top should look golden.

Cool and Slice

  • Let bars cool fully. Cut into squares. Serve and enjoy.

Notes
