Ingredients

  • 2 cups dragon fruit pulp peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup sugar or honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • Optional: mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Dragon Fruit

  • Peel the dragon fruit carefully and cut it into small pieces. Make sure you remove all skin. Place the soft pink flesh into a bowl. This fruit gives the sorbet its bright color and natural sweetness.

Blend the Fruit Mixture

  • Add dragon fruit pieces into a blender. Pour in cold water, sugar and lemon juice. Blend until smooth and creamy. The mixture should look bright pink and silky without any chunks.

Taste and Adjust

  • Taste the mixture carefully. Add more sugar if you want it sweeter. Add a little lemon juice if you want a tangy flavor. This step helps balance the taste perfectly for your sorbet.

Freeze the Mixture

  • Pour the blended mixture into a freezer-safe container. Cover it tightly with a lid. Place it in the freezer for 4–6 hours. The mixture should become firm and icy.

Break and Blend Again

  • Take the frozen mixture out and break it into chunks. Blend it again for a smooth texture. This step makes the sorbet soft and fluffy instead of a solid ice block.

Final Freeze

  • Place the blended sorbet back into the container. Freeze it for another 1–2 hours. This helps it set properly while keeping a creamy texture.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Scoop the sorbet into bowls. Garnish with mint leaves if you like. Serve immediately for the best taste and texture. Enjoy this refreshing dessert cold.

Notes

  • Use ripe dragon fruit for best sweetness
  • Add coconut milk for creamy texture
  • Mix strawberries for extra flavor
  • Use honey instead of sugar for natural taste
  • Add lime juice for extra freshness
  • Freeze in small cups for easy serving
