- 30 gyoza wrappers
- ½ pound ground chicken or pork
- 1 cup green cabbage finely chopped
- 2 green onions finely sliced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- ⅓ cup water
- 30 gyoza wrappers

Prepare the Filling
Place the ground meat, cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt and pepper into a large bowl. Mix everything gently until well combined. Do not overmix because it can make the filling dense instead of juicy and tender.
- Chop vegetables very finely.
- Do not overfill each wrapper.
- Seal the edges tightly.
- Keep unused wrappers covered.
- Try ground turkey instead of pork.
- Add chopped mushrooms for extra flavor.
- Mix in shredded carrots for sweetness.
- Add a little chili oil for heat.
- Use shrimp instead of meat.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds before serving.
