Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka or gin
  • 1 oz cherry liqueur like Maraschino
  • 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup
  • 2 dashes cherry blossom bitters or regular bitters
  • Edible cherry blossoms or sakura petals dried or fresh
  • Club soda splash optional
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon twist or cherry for garnish

Instructions

Chill the Glass

  • Place coupe glass in freezer for 2 minutes. This keeps drink cold. Pull it out when ready.

Add Fresh Elements

  • Drop 3-4 edible cherry blossoms into shaker. Muddle gently to release flavor. Don't crush too hard.

Pour Liquids

  • Add vodka, cherry liqueur, lemon juice, simple syrup, and bitters. Fill shaker with ice.

Shake Well

  • Shake hard for 15 seconds. This chills and mixes perfectly. Listen for ice clinking.

Strain and Garnish

  • Strain into chilled glass. Add soda splash if fizzy. Twist lemon over top. Garnish with petals.

Notes

  • Use gin for herbal twist.
  • Make mocktail: Swap booze for sparkling water and cherry juice.
  • Rim glass with pink sugar for sparkle.
  • Double petals for stronger floral taste.
  • Batch for parties: Mix in pitcher, chill overnight.
  • Add prosecco for bubbly version.
