Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil for frying, about 4 cups
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • Chocolate dipping sauce optional: 1/2 cup melted chocolate + 2 tbsp cream

Instructions

Make the Churro Dough

  • Boil water, butter, and salt in a pot. Add flour all at once. Stir fast until a ball forms. Cool for 5 mins.

Add Eggs to Dough

  • Beat in eggs one by one. Mix until smooth and shiny. Stir in vanilla extract well.

Prep for Piping

  • Scoop dough into piping bag with star tip. Or snip corner off ziplock bag. Set aside on counter.

Heat the Oil

  • Pour oil into deep fryer or pot. Heat to 350°F (175°C). Use thermometer to check.

Pipe and Fry the Fries

  • Pipe 4-inch strips into hot oil. Fry 4-5 at a time. Cook 2-3 mins until golden brown. Flip once.

Drain the Fries

  • Lift fries with slotted spoon. Drain on paper towels. Do batches until all done.

Coat in Cinnamon Sugar

  • Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Toss hot fries in mix. Coat every piece fully.

Serve Warm

  • Pile on a plate. Dip in chocolate if you like. Enjoy right away!
  • How to make Burger King Churro Fries is this easy. Takes just minutes!

Notes

  • Test oil temp with a dough scrap. It should sizzle right away.
  • Pipe over oil to avoid splatters. Hold bag steady.
  • Don't overcrowd fryer. Fries stay crispy that way.
  • For extra crunch, double-fry: First at 325°F, then 375°F.
  • Variation: Add pumpkin spice to sugar mix for fall vibes.
  • Variation: Stuff with cream cheese before frying for stuffed churros.
  • Variation: Use air fryer at 375°F for 8 mins – healthier twist. Spray with oil first.
  • Keep dough warm. It pipes better.
  • Fresh cinnamon smells best. Grind sticks if you can.
